I Hate My Quartz Countertop

I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Quartz countertops are everywhere these days, and they're often touted as the best choice for kitchens and bathrooms. But I'm here to tell you that quartz countertops are not all they're cracked up to be. In fact, I hate my quartz countertop.

Here are just a few of the reasons why:

It's too cold. Quartz is a very hard material, which means it doesn't conduct heat well. This makes it feel cold to the touch, even in warm weather. I hate getting goosebumps every time I touch my countertop!
It's too slippery. Quartz is also very smooth, which makes it slippery when wet. I'm constantly worried about dropping things on my countertop, and I've already had to replace one glass that slipped out of my hand.
It's too expensive. Quartz countertops are one of the most expensive countertop materials on the market. I paid over $5,000 for mine, and I'm still not happy with it.
It's not as durable as I thought it would be. Quartz is supposed to be very durable, but I've already managed to scratch mine. I'm not sure how it happened, but it's definitely not as indestructible as I was led to believe.
It's not as easy to clean as I thought it would be. Quartz is supposed to be easy to clean, but I've found that it's actually quite difficult to get stains out. I've tried everything from bleach to vinegar, but nothing seems to work.

I'm so frustrated with my quartz countertop. I wish I had never installed it. If you're thinking about getting quartz countertops, I urge you to reconsider. There are much better options out there.

They're not as scratch-resistant as laminate countertops. Laminate countertops are very scratch-resistant, which makes them ideal for families with young children. Quartz countertops, on the other hand, are not as scratch-resistant, so you have to be careful not to scratch them.

If you're looking for a durable, beautiful, and easy-to-clean countertop, I recommend choosing a natural stone or laminate countertop instead of a quartz countertop.
